Eligibility Requirements
No minimum revenue. No required technical background. Just a real idea and the drive to ship it.

Do I need to already be using Empromptu to apply?
No. You just need to create a free account before submitting your application. The account is free and takes about two minutes to set up.
Is the grant taxable?
Yes. The $15,000 grant is considered taxable income. Empromptu will issue a Form 1099-MISC to the winner. We recommend speaking with a CPA before accepting the award.
Can I apply if I have a technical co-founder?
Absolutely. The fund is open to any early-stage founder or co-founding team building a product with an AI component, regardless of technical background.
How long does the application take?
Under three minutes. There are 12 short questions with tight word limits. It is designed to be completed on your phone.
When and how will the winner be announced?
Applications close April 25th. The winner will be notified directly by email on May X and announced publicly across Empromptu's channels the same day.
What if I am selected as a runner-up?
Twenty runner-ups each receive $500 in Empromptu credits, valid for 90 days, and priority consideration for the Phase 2 accelerator program. Runner-ups will also be notified by email.
